"We want to work with you and we will be by your side as you make the reforms and take the tough decisions that are necessary".
The United States Secretary of State, Hilary Clinton has charged President Goodluck Jonathan to be bold and take the tough decisions that are necessary to tackle the spate of insecurity in Nigeria.
Clinton who arrived the presidential villa at 3:50pm amidst tight United States security accompanying her convoy, said doing so will attract the support of the US in the fight against Boko Haram.
Olufamous.com gathered that Clinton warned President Jonathan that Nigerian may not succeed to crush Boko Haram if it depends on military approach and conventional warfare only.
"We appreciate that you know how committed United States and the Obama Administration is to our partnership with your country. We consider it absolutely vital to our bi-National commission which as you have mentioned has helped us to expand and deepen our cooperation on full range of issues.
"We were also very supportive of anti-corruption reform efforts, more transparency in the work that you and your team are also championing because we really believe that the future for Nigeria is limitless but the most important task that you face, as you have said, is making sure that there are better opportunities for all Nigerians, South, East, West, every young boy and girl to have chance to fulfil his God given potential".
Earlier, President Jonathan had thanked Clinton for raising the relationship between Nigeria and America to a very high level that had never been reached for quite some time.

It takes more than talk to take tough decisions and I don't think GEJ is the man given his posture of weakness since assuming office.... I wish he could prove me wrong.

Obviously Jonathan has not been taking Serious actions with respect to this Boko Haram distractive insurgency!America has now given him the Green card to act! It's a good thing that Mrs Clinton has told Jonathan that Nigeria must take bold actions to curb this menace!
ReplyDeleteIf President Jonathan misreads this to mean that America will be sending troops to crush Boko Haramu,he will quickly find out that he is on his own! One way Jonathan can curb this menace is thru intelligence! America maybe willing to assist in that sphere.
All the Octopus lurking around as members of PDP, especially frm the North as rightly pointed out by Azazi former NSA director know who Boko Haram are!
Again, the goal of these people is To make Nigeria ungovernable by biting off their nose to spite their face.Investors want nothing to do with NigeriA,ppl r dying unabated, the failed Politicians frm the North are mindful of all the negative consequences of these killings, but they chose to tow this part of violence ,using Boko Haram as Their contractor to execute these shortsighted attacks,in an attempt to destablise this admnistration, supported by the so called former leaders of the North. The world is watching Nigeria. Jonathan must know that his trouble is compounded because of the ppl he surrounds himself with.
Americans think, plan and then act! But the Nigerian govt. Talks and talks and talks and no action!Take for instance Hillary Clintons vist to Nigeria. They knew that Nigeria is a very insecure nation to visit and they intentionally omitted naming Nigeria as one of her African tour itinery and then she quietly sneaks into the country with water tight security in tow. That's how security conscious smart ppl behave.
ReplyDeleteEach time Jonathan dares Boko Haram, they select any church at random and slaughter innocent worshippers, calling the Presidents bluff and nothing practical is done to show that these murderers are contained! Smart ppl think b4 they talk! The govt must go back to the drawing board and come uP with smart ideas on how to tackle this menace of Boko Haramu! The whole aim of the sponsors of this mayhem is to make the President look impotent and he must not be seen to be so!
GEJ should know that his government cannot attain to its height except this issues of insecurity is been tackled with every vigor. Nigerians are dying on daily basis. pls wake up from your slumber and optimize the power been vested upon you As the commander in chief Of the Fed Republic of Nigeria before it becomes late.

ReplyDeleteMr President, the ball is in your court. You must come hard on those bastard; Boko Haram.Declare elimination date for these bastard or else they will bring down your government. The American Government has just told you to desend hard on them as they are behind you.Do the right thing and eliminate these bastards to bring peace to the country.
