These girls are made to dance half naked, according to reports, only wearing short skirts with their breasts on display to satisfy some cultural rites chaired by the Swazi King.
The crux is: official statistics show the prevalence of HIV/AIDS in this area to be over 35%. And the reason is not far fetched; most of the young men present during this breast display will, no doubt, be moved by what they see and one option available to them is rape.
I hear something like this was in practice in a few villages in Nigeria back in the day but it has since faced out, thanks to civilization. So why is the Swaziland people still holding on to this?
